ONGA Plant Sale at the Historic Thomas Square

A beautiful day of teaching our keiki and community about Early Detection of Newly Arrived Insect Species to Hawai‘i, with the O‘ahu Nursery Growers Association sharing this educational day. Our informational table was filled with examples of insects live and pinned, to educate the public about the Early Detection of Invasive Insect Pest Species.

The tables were exhibited with William’s pinned invasive insect species for everyone to have a hands-on look at the Coconut Rhinoceros Beetle and some of the latest invasive insect pest species. The most popular display was the live invasive insects that William had recently caught, including the newly arrived to Hawai'i Centipede Scolopendra morsitans.
